FAQ

How should I ship you my items?

I would recommend that you use an insured, traceable shipper like UPS or FedEx. Place your items in as many ZipLock bags are necessary, then pack safely in a sturdy box for shipping.

Will I get my items back?

Absolutely! These are your memories and you will get them in return. They will back packaged similar to how they were received. If you choose to receive a hard drive, this will back in the same package.

How will we receive our transfers?

You will receive a physical hard drive in return. This will be a usb hard drive and will be sized accordingly. If you would prefer downloadable files, we will send you a WeTransfer link. If you wish to go this route, you will not receive a physical hard drive in return. We do not offer cloud storage and your link will expire after one year, so please download your files. They WILL NOT be stored on our servers.

Does the cost include the hard drive?

Great question! No, the cost does not include the hard drive. Reason for this is if your order requires less space, you will be charged for a smaller drive. Same is true on the opposite. If your order is larger, your order will require a larger drive.

How long does it take?

Generally, 1 - 2 weeks. However, depending on the season it may take up to 4 weeks. We recommend if this will be a gift, or for an occasion, please plan for 4 weeks turnaround time.

Is there a charge for downloadable files?

Yes. There is a $20 charge for downloadable files. If you choose to receive the downloadable files in addition to the hard drive, you will be charged for both.

Do I have to get the hard drive?

No. You can select download only. There is a $20 charge for download only and the link will be active for one year. We DO NOT store your files. If you do not download them within that year, you will need to repeat your order.

How will the files be labeled?

The files will be labeled with whatever labeling the tapes have on them. If there is nothing on the tape, we will put a piece of clear tape with a number on cassette and that will be the file name.

Will you retouch my scanned photographs?

No. We make sure there is no dust in the transfer process, but your photos will be scanned as they appear. If you wish to have some retouching done, email and we can work through the additional costs.
